Insurance
Do I need insurance?
Our practice is a concierge medical practice, or Direct Pay primary care practice. This means that we will not accept traditional insurance, our office visits are not billed to your insurance. We will not be credentialed with any insurance companies.
Your yearly membership fee paid directly to the physicians takes the place of insurance reimbursement for your executive physical, offices visits and telehealth visits. You may speak with your insurance company or your employer’s HSA funding department to see if you can submit receipts for reimbursement of your membership fee which would be made directly to you.
If your insurance does not require specialist referrals (for example if you have a PPO, EPO or open access plan), then your insurance should work for any services outside of our office as it has worked previously.
If you have an HMO plan, or one that requires “gatekeeping” by your primary care (such as a Kaiser plan), you can still join our practice but we recommend establishing with an additional primary care provider through your insurance who you would see once a year to help with referrals/orders. Fortunately, these health plans are much less common.
